Expedition Consulting cultivates a vibrant network of collaborators with whom we partner. Some of our current collaborators include: 

  • Milagros Pilla

    Milagros Pilla, She/Ella, is a professional dedicated to community service, engagement, and advocacy. Her journey began as a Constituent Caseworker for Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy, during which she worked collaboratively with both the district and D.C. office staff to help constituents in navigating critical issues.

    For the next 18 years she served at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Rhode Island, growing with the organization in roles spanning direct patient care, community partnerships, operations, recruitment, credentialing, and managing the Nurse Practitioner Fellowships. Currently, she works as a Program Coordinator in a hospital setting at Brown University Health. Her role focuses on program development, provider support, and ensuring seamless clinical operations and  meeting national accreditation standards.

    Beyond healthcare, Milagros is deeply committed to equity and inclusion. She chaired a BIPOC Employee Resource Group, served on the board of WestBay Community Action, and collaborated with community organizations to expand access to vital resources.

  • Michelle Wilson

    Michelle Wilson, She/Her, has over three decades professional experience.  She has worked in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors building systems that center community, justice, innovation, and equitable practices.

    Michelle is currently the Chief of the Rhode Island Department of Health’s Health Equity Institute. In this role, she leads cross-cutting initiatives that interact with the policies, processes, relationships, and power structures of health equity. She has presented her work at national conferences and has contributed to several professional journal article publications. In 2023, Michelle received an award for her lifetime work championing the values of justice and equity; and was selected as a 2025 Fellow of the Institute for Non-Profit Practice’s Black Leadership Institute.

    Michelle has served on many community and professional boards and mentor’s students in Brown University School of Public Health’s Health Equity Scholars program. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys learning about the intersection of history and culture by way of travel, cooking, and the arts.

  • Kat Sheridan

    Kat Sheridan, They/Them, is a senior at the University of Rhode Island, majoring in Journalism and Gender and Women’s Studies. They also are double minoring in Trans and Queer Studies and Art.
